Origin and Founder
The Creator: Andrew Ainsworth, an industrial designer educated at Ealing School of Art, created the original Stormtrooper helmets and armor.
Location: He established Shepperton Design Studios (sometimes referred to in the context of Twickenham/Sporting Composites Ltd) in 1976.
The Job: In January 1976, Ainsworth was approached by Nick Pemberton, a scenic artist working on the first Star Wars movie (A New Hope), to produce the armour.
